This is "high bypass turbo-fueling"! devins 20th February 2003, 19:48 Free wash with full up! gunhog11 20th February 2003, 21:36 Pretty standard thing that happend when A/R-ing from a tanker that has leaky valves on the boom. Upon disconnect, the residual fuel in the lines vent through the boom and blur the vision for about 15 seconds. The resulting rest of the fuel gets ingested by the engines with no harm. Ironically, I've got about 18 hours in aircraft 80-0195, the pictured aircraft. I always thought misting fuel would create a torch effect.
