Annual Burn

Question for the group: In regards to the annual burn do you have 12 months to obtain the burn once you get to the airport?

This may vary with each FAA inspector. According to our inspector, every person used in a fire suppression role whether a driver, fire fighter, whatever, must complete the burn prior to riding the apparatus. If they cannot complete the burn, then their role must be limited to non-fire fighting activities such as EMS, etc.
